Almost a year...

After Jena's graduation Oliver peed all over his clothes while I was changing him, so this is what he went home in.

Oliver will be a year old in 2 weeks!!  I can't believe it!!  He isn't walking yet, but he's crawling around everywhere and getting into everything he shouldn't!!  For some reason he loves anything that plugs in and has a cord!  He loves it when I vacuum, he just follows me around and tries to play with the cord.  He's really into taking food out of his mouth to examine it, then eat it again.  He also thinks its really funny to just spit it out, especially veggies!  He's just starting to try to feed himself with a spoon.  I think his favorite foods are bananas and cheese (not together..)  He pulls him self up on everything and he's so tall it seems like nothing is safe!  Lately he is into taking 3 hour morning naps and skipping the afternoon naps.  Wes and I have so much fun with him and love all his new stages...even if they are a little busy!

Oliver's new hat!

I love this hat so much it inspired a photo shoot (that and the 6 inches of snow we got yesterday!)  There are more pictures of Oliver and I because Wes apparently takes better pictures than I do...something I need to work on!

A visit from papa and grandma!

This weekend my parents came out and spent the weekend with us.  It felt like I hadn't seen them for such a long time even though it had only been since Christmas.  We had a nice relaxing weekend, ate lots of great food (thanks to Wes), went shopping and played with Oliver.  Oliver was a little bit of a stinker though, in the last week or two he has become quite the mama's boy!  If I was around he didn't want anyone else holding him but me!  He played with papa and grandma, but didn't let them hold him for too long!  He turned 9 months old on Saturday!  I can't believe that!  He's wearing 18 month clothing, getting more teeth and working really hard at starting to crawl.  He gets up on all fours and reaches for things and then just lurches forward to get whatever he is seeking, its almost like he dives forward, its really funny but quite effective!  We love this little man!!
